Fabrizio Romano reports that Tottenham have agreed a deal with Man City for Savinho, as the Lilywhites look to complete a double swoop including Omar Marmoush.
There are only a few days left before the summer transfer window slams shut, and while Tottenham Hotspur have been one of the busier sides in the transfer market, they are not finished yet.
The Lilywhites remain in the market for forward additions after having already bolstered their midfield and defensive ranks earlier this summer following their £237 million spending spree.
Reports this week have suggested that Manchester City’s Omar Marmoush and Savinho are Spurs’ top targets, with the Lilywhites aiming to complete a double swoop for the two attackers.
And it appears Roberto De Zerbi has at least one of them in the bag…

Tottenham agree deal with Manchester City for Savinho
Talks between Tottenham and Man City were reported to be advancing on Thursday as De Zerbi’s side looked to complete a deal for the two attackers.
Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge also revealed that the dialouge between City and Spurs had been mostly positive so far.
He said: “Yeah, look, talks are continuing between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City over a potential double deal for these two players, Omar Marmoush and Savinho.
“Savinho is a very long-term target of Tottenham Hotspur. He’s been highly regarded by the club for some time, and that has come on to Roberto De Zerbi as well. De Zerbi, we believe, is a very big fan as well of Omar Marmoush.
“Now, look, Savinho is someone who’s been at City for a few years now; we understand that he wants to make this move happen.
“Marmoush has been in and out of the side; I mean, it is not really easy to dislodge Erling Haaland, so talk’s continuing; nothing done yet, but everything’s positive that’s what we are hearing.”
Mere hours later, Fabrizio Romano has given the Savinho half of the deal his ‘here we go’ seal of approval.
Here we go! Spurs seal Savinho deal
Fabrizio Romano claims Tottenham have reached a verbal agreement with Man City that will see Savinho join for over £75m.
Talks for Marmoush continue, but the deals are being treated as separate.
Romano wrote: ‘BREAKING: Tottenham reach verbal agreement with Manchester City to sign Savinho, here we go! Club to club verbal agreement in place tonight with Sávio set to travel for medical at THFC. Fee will be over £75m, details to follow. Separate talks for Omar Marmoush continue.’
Earlier this summer, Roberto De Zerbi made it clear that Spurs are focused on landing their top targets this transfer window.
So far, that looks to be the case, with the Lilywhites not backing down in their attempts to sign Savinho, a player they had on their radar as far back as last summer.
Tottenham are now racing against time to get Marmoush (and maybe Gakpo) done, with less than two weeks left before the transfer window slams shut.
