Tottenham Hotspur are pressing ahead with a move for Croatian star Martin Baturina, who is having a fabulous World Cup, but they face plenty of competition for the player.
Reports indicate that Lucas Bergvall has asked to leave Tottenham in search of regular game time elsewhere.
Additionally, Xavi Simons is expected to be out of action until the end of 2026, while some sources indicate that Spurs are also willing to listen to offers for James Maddison.
That is perhaps why Roberto De Zerbi’s men are scouring the market for an attacking midfielder, with Tottenham expressing an interest in Baturina, who has been Croatia’s best player at the World Cup.

Journalist Matteo Moretto has now revealed on Fabrizio Romano’s Italian YouTube channel that the Lilywhites are indeed exploring a move for the 23-year-old attacking midfielder.
Moretto claims that Tottenham have now launched an enquiry to Como about Baturina, who scored eight goals and provided four assists for the Serie A club last season.
However, Spurs are not alone in their admiration of the player, with Bayern Munich and Aston Villa also registering ‘firm enquiries’ for the former Dinamo Zagreb man.

Earlier this month, Gianluca di Marzio revealed that Como had already rejected bids from England for the versatile midfielder.
The journalist revealed that two offers from an unnamed English club worth €50m-€55m (£43m-£47m) for Baturina had been turned down by the Italian side.
Di Marzio added that it would take a bid in the region of around €80m (£69m) to prise the 23-year-old away from the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium.
