Tottenham Legends prepare for Chelsea clash, hope to repeat pulsating 6-2 victory

Tottenham Hotspur announce an eye-catching Legends fixture against bitter rivals Chelsea, 24 months after an exciting 6-2 win over AC Milan.

As the senior Spurs team struggles to score goals and pick up results in the Premier League, Tottenham fans could do with a dose of nostaligia. Thankfully, that’s exactly what they will get in March, 2027.

Of course, while Tottenham have gone winless in the first five games of the season, you would like to think they will be looking much more comfortable come March. If not, it could be another relegation scrap in the final months of the campaign.

During the two-week break between Everton away (20 March) and Brentford at home (10 April), Tottenham’s Legends will make the trip over to Stamford Bridge to take on a Chelsea Legends team.

Chelsea Legends vs Tottenham Legends announcement for March 2027

Chelsea Legends vs Spurs Legends is set to take place over the Easter weekend on Saturday 27 March, 2027 at Stamford Bridge, with some ‘iconic’ line-ups promised.

Spurs reveal that the match will ‘raise funds for Chelsea Foundation and also provide support for Spurs in the Community’.

Chief Executive of Spurs in the Community, Marc Leckie, said: “We’re delighted to be part of what promises to be a fantastic occasion at Stamford Bridge. Matches between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have produced so many memorable moments over the years, and it will be great to see some familiar faces come together again. We’re very grateful for the support the fixture will provide to our work and look forward to what should be a special day.”

Chief Executive of Chelsea FC Foundation, Laura Cordingley, added: “We are delighted to announce the next Legends match at Stamford Bridge, and I would like to thank the Club for its support in making this happen. This match against Tottenham Hotspur will reignite a legendary rivalry on the pitch, providing our supporters with the opportunity to see some of their heroes back at Stamford Bridge, whilst also raising vital funds for Chelsea Foundation’s life-changing impact off the pitch. We look forward to putting on an incredible event on Saturday 27 March.”

Who could line up in a Spurs Legends team vs Chelsea?

Spurs Web were in attendance the last time Tottenham put out a Legends team against AC Milan in March 2025, and what an event it was! Spurs won the game 6-2 thanks to goals from Robbie Keane, Jermain Defoe, Sandro, and Michael Brown.

The full squad against AC Milan included: Heurelho Gomes, Pascal Chimbonda, Michael Dawson, Ledley King, Younes Kaboul, Sandro, Teemu Taino, Aaron Lennon, Jermain Defoe, Dimitar Berbatov, Robbie Keane, Michel Vorm, Sebastien Bassong, Benoit Assout-Ekotto, Steffen Freund, Chris Perry, Michael Brown, Teddy Sheringham, Allan Nielsen, and Mark Falco.

Keane, Defoe, and Lennon, in particular, were on fire against Andrea Pirlo and co. Perhaps that’s exactly what Tottenham need to break the curse at Stamford Bridge!
