The Brazilian was on the radar of the Lilywhites last summer, but Spurs could not agree a deal with Manchester City, leaving the 22-year-old to stay put.
Once again, Tottenham’s interest has been rekindled, but there has still been no breakthrough despite personal terms reportedly being agreed with Savinho.
Tottenham keep interest in Jean-Matteo Bahoya alive
With the saga dragging on, Tottenham are now understood to be considering alternatives. That is according to The Athletic, who claim Spurs are maintaining their interest in Eintracht Frankfurt winger Jean-Matteo Bahoya.
Tottenham remain in the market for a wide forward, but it is explained that Bahoya is currently viewed as a secondary option rather than the player Spurs are determined to sign.
The publication further reveals that Tottenham held discussions with the winger’s representatives before the transfer window opened to establish whether he would consider a move to the Premier League.
However, Spurs have not yet approached Eintracht Frankfurt, underlining that their interest remains exploratory rather than advanced.
Frankfurt want £30.2m-£34.5m for Bahoya this summer, a player who is famous for breaking a Bundesliga speed record in 2025. The 19-year-old clocked in at 23.09 mph (37.16 km/h) in Eintracht Frankfurt’s game against Bochum in 2025.
Spurs weighing up alternatives as Savinho pursuit continues
The 21-year-old’s numbers last season were not exactly groundbreaking, with Bahoya scoring three goals and providing four assists in 27 league appearances.
However, Tottenham have largely targeted more established players throughout the summer, as reflected in their business so far. That makes it seem unlikely that Eintracht Frankfurt will receive an official proposal unless other negotiations fall through.
But with Arsenal and clubs in Saudi Arabia also interested in Bahoya, Frankfurt will be in a stronger position to demand a substantial fee should several clubs enter negotiations, and Tottenham ultimately miss out on Savinho.
