Ange Postecoglou not in danger of the sack

Over the last 24 hours, a number of reports have indicated that Postecoglou is confident that he is not in any immediate danger of the sack and that he has Daniel Levy‘s backing for the moment.

This has now been backed up by a new report in TEAMtalk, who say that the Tottenham head coach’s job is safe for now as Spurs will not take any decision in haste.

The report adds that the club’s chiefs are eager for Postecoglou’s project to work and will give the Australian the opportunity to turn this around.

Ange Postecoglou to be backed in January

Interestingly, TEAMtalk say that there is also an acceptance behind the scenes at N17 that the 59-year-old needs reinforcements in order to be successful and deliver trophies.

As a result, the club’s board have now decided that Postecoglou will be backed with the signings he wants in the January window.

The publication explains that Levy is aware that there is major criticism coming his way from the supporters and wants to do his part to help fix the situation when the window reopens.

Which area will Tottenham strengthen?

One can argue that Spurs need signings all over the pitch, with the club’s recent injury issues exposing the lack of depth in the squad.

According to the latest update by TEAMtalk, signing defensive reinforcements will be the Lilywhties’ main focus in January.

The report adds that Johan Lange and the club’s recruitment department are currently scouring the market for suitable options.
