Tottenham Hotspur prepare to begin their Carabao Cup campaign with a clash against Charlton today, as they look for their first win of the season.
Spurs were left licking their wounds after being demolished by Brentford in their opening game of the season.
Roberto De Zerbi will be desperate for a response from his side, and this evening’s tie could provide the perfect opportunity as they get to play in front of their home fans for the first time.
Spurs go in as big favourites against Charlton, and they will not have to wait a long time to find out their next opponents should they progress in the competition.

Tottenham could find out Carabao Cup third round opponents this evening
If the Lilywhites win the London derby in front of their home fans, they will find out their next Carabao Cup opponents very soon after the final whistle.
The EFL have confirmed that the draw for the third round of the League Cup will take place live on Sky Sports following the conclusion of Preston North End’s tie against Everton this evening.
All the Premier League teams who are in Europe will enter the competition in the third round, making the draw a lot more interesting.
Additionally, from the next round, the draw will no longer be split into northern and southern sections, which means that the Lilywhites can be drawn against any of the 32 clubs to progress to the third round.
However, clubs competing in Europe cannot be drawn against each other at this stage due to fixture conflicts. That means Tottenham could be drawn against any of Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Bournemouth and Sunderland, but those teams cannot be drawn against each other.
Savio could be in line for Spurs debut against Charlton
The Tottenham fans in attendance this evening could have something big to look forward to after the club confirmed their seventh signing of the summer window on Tuesday.
New Spurs signing Savio is available to feature for Roberto De Zerbi’s side against Charlton, having been registered with the EFL before 12 noon yesterday.
It remains to be seen if the Brazilian will be handed a debut, but he could be presented to the fans at the stadium, and Spurs fans will be hoping that he will be presented together with Omar Marmoush, who is very close to completing a move to N17.
