Tottenham Hotspur are now on the verge of completing their eighth signing of the summer transfer window in Omar Marmoush.

With just a week left in the transfer window, Spurs finally confirmed their first attacking signing of the window on Tuesday.

Tottenham announced the arrival of Savio from Manchester City after protracted negotiations with the Manchester club, with the Lilywhites paying £85m to bring him through the door.

Less than 24 hours later, Roberto De Zerbi’s men are now on the cusp of further bolstering their attack by raiding the Etihad Stadium again.

Omar Marmoush given green light to complete Tottenham medical

On Tuesday, it emerged that Marmoush was in London waiting for the green light from Man City to complete his move to N17.

The Athletic’s David Ornstein has now revealed that the 27-year-old has got the go-ahead from Enzo Maresca’s side to undertake his medical at Hotspur Way.

The two sides have agreed on an initial season-long loan deal, with an obligation to buy worth £50m plus £10m in add-ons.

The striker’s arrival adds much-needed firepower to Tottenham’s forward line, which struggled for goals last season and drew a blank in their first game of this campaign against Brentford.

Marmoush’s arrival is expected to accelerate the sale of senior Spurs man

The arrival of Marmoush at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is expected to make way for the sale of a player who started at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday.

Richarlison is thought to be exploring options to leave Spurs before the window slams shut on September 1.

Everton are in regular contact with Tottenham over re-signing the Brazilian, whom De Zerbi has informed that he is free to find a new club.
