Inter Milan in talks with Tottenham over Cristian Romero

It emerged a couple of days ago that Inter Milan had enquired to Tottenham about Djed Spence’s availability.

Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that Spurs offered Romero to the Nerazzurri during those talks over Spence.

The journalist stated that Tottenham’s asking price for their captain is considered ‘very high’ for Inter despite their interest in the player, while Barcelona are also keeping an eye on the centre-back.

Romano said on X: “Cuti Romero to leave Tottenham this summer, Inter held talks with Spurs over recent days. Romero has been offered as option during talks for Djed Spence. Inter keen but costs very high. Barca also like Cuti Romero.”

The World Cup is serving as the perfect shop window for Romero

It was previously reported that Tottenham see this summer as the ideal time to cash in on their captain, as they feel the World Cup will serve as a shop window for the defender to showcase his skills at the highest level.

The Lilywhites’ hopes appear to be coming true, with some sources stating that Romero’s World Cup performances have caught the eye of several big clubs around Europe.

According to a recent update by TEAMtalk, a move to Spain is Romero’s top preference this summer, as he looks set for a fresh challenge.
