Tottenham plot summer move for £43 former Barcelona man with 20 goals in 2025

Tottenham Hotspur have put off one of their transfer pursuits to the summer, but they face competition from two of their Premier League rivals.

The Lilywhites have secured the services of Souza, who has described the move to Spurs as a ‘dream come true’.

However, the left-back is not the only Brazilian youngster that the North Londoners have been credited with an interest in over recent months.

It has been widely reported that Tottenham have explored a move for Palmeiras forward Vitor Roque, who has been in red-hot form since leaving Barcelona to return to Brazilian football.

Tottenham could make a move Vitor Roque this summer

According to some sources, Spurs have been tracking Roque since the start of 2024, but it has now emerged that the Lilywhites could push ahead with a move for the 20-year-old after this summer’s World Cup.

This is according to Radio Tupi, who say that Tottenham Hotspur will keep a close eye on the Palmeiras star ahead of this summer’s transfer window.

The Brazilian club are in a strong position as Roque’s current deal runs until 2029, and they are not under any pressure to sell.

It is claimed that Palmeiras are expected to demand £43m for the forward during the summer window.

Spurs face competition from two Premier League rivals for Roque

Radio Tupi say that Tottenham have been joined in the race for Roque by two Premier League giants.

Chelsea and Manchester United are both eyeing the youngster ahead of the summer, with the two clubs analysing the cost of the operation and how he would fit into their squads.

The expectation is that Roque will remain at Palmeiras for now, and the interest in his services could build over the coming months.
