Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a boost ahead of the first leg of their Europa League quarterfinal against Eintracht Frankfurt as one of the German club’s most important players has been ruled out of Thursday’s clash.
The mood surrounding Spurs is not positive at the moment as Ange Postecoglou’s relationship with the Tottenham fans has soured, with the Australian’s days at the club now looking like they could be numbered.
Results have not shown any sign of improvement despite the return of key players from injury, which will undoubtedly have a few alarm bells ringing at Hotspur Way.
However, one would expect there to be renewed energy among the squad as they resume the Europa League campaign, with the competition presenting Tottenham with a chance to undo all the damage and make this season a successful one.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s Kevin Trapp will miss first leg against Spurs
Frankfurt will offer an extremely formidable challenge for the Lilywhites, with the club currently sitting third in the Bundesliga table behind Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen.
However, journalist Carsten Schellhorn has now revealed on social media that the German side will not be at full strength on Thursday as their number one Kevin Trapp has been ruled out of the first leg.
The experienced goalkeeper will not make the trip to London, with veteran Jens Grahl expected to deputise for the German international at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
However, Trapp is expected to be back for the return leg at Deutsche Bank Park next week.
Tottenham duo expected to miss first leg against Frankfurt
While long-term injury absentee, Radu Dragusin remains sidelined, two other senior Tottenham stars are also not expected to recover in time for Thursday’s game against Eintracht Frankfurt.
It was revealed last week that Dejan Kulusevski and Kevin Danso will not be fit for the first leg, but the Swede has a chance of being ready for the return leg in Germany.
However, Postecoglou has been boosted by the return of Richarlison, who was an unused substitute in Tottenham’s 3-1 win over Southampton on Sunday.
