Nottingham Forest have made their first offer to Tottenham Hotspur for Lucas Bergvall as they look to rebuild their midfield following the departure of Elliot Anderson.

It has been a busy summer transfer window for Tottenham Hotspur, who have not only sanctioned incomings but have also seen several outgoings.

Four players have since departed, with Luka Vuskovic the most expensive sale so far after Brighton reached an agreement with Spurs on a £50 million deal.

Other departures include Radu Dragusin joining Fiorentina on loan, with a permanent transfer set to be completed in 2027 that will see Spurs receive £21.4 million, while Alejo Veliz and Alfie Devine have been sold for £7.7 million and £6 million respectively.

However, with several Tottenham stars still attracting interest, there could be even more departures in the coming weeks.

Tottenham reject Nottingham Forest’s opening Lucas Bergvall bid

According to The Telegraph, Nottingham Forest are now understood to have made their first offer for Tottenham midfielder Lucas Bergvall.

The Tricky Trees have been keen on the Swede, who is in search of more game time and has requested to leave Tottenham.

Forest have now seen their £38 million bid rejected by Spurs, who are pushing for a fee in the region of £50 million before sanctioning an exit for Bergvall.

It is understood, however, that Forest is expected to return with a second offer worth £45 million for the Tottenham midfielder.

Spurs face Lucas Bergvall decision

Forest needs a central midfielder following the departure of Elliot Anderson to Manchester City.

It is explained that they are looking for a young midfielder to fill that role, and Bergvall remains high on their list.

The Swede is 20 years old and has experience playing in the Premier League after making 50 appearances for Tottenham.

The youngster did, however, struggle for game time last campaign and managed just one start under Roberto De Zerbi in Spurs’ final seven games.

The latest additions of Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali will only make it harder for the Swede to secure regular game time next campaign.

Tottenham are not keen on letting Bergvall go, but must now decide, with Forest eager for a move to be completed as they look to improve their squad under Oliver Glasner.
