Tottenham have rejected an even higher offer for Lucas Bergvall from another Premier League side as they look to hold firm on their valuation.
Lucas Bergvall‘s desire to leave Tottenham Hotspur has only generated significant transfer interest in the Swede.
It is understood that clubs in the Premier League and even outside England have set their sights on the 20-year-old midfielder.
Earlier this week, Nottingham Forest made the first move by offering £38 million for Bergvall, an offer that was swiftly rejected by Tottenham.
The Tricky Trees are expected to return with a second bid in the region of £45 million as they hope to convince Spurs to part with the youngster, who is valued at £50 million.

Tottenham reject Newcastle bid for Lucas Bergvall
According to The Athletic, Tottenham have now received another offer for Lucas Bergvall from a different Premier League side.
Newcastle United are the latest club to submit a bid for Bergvall, with the Magpies looking to strengthen their midfield ranks.
Their offer was worth £46 million, significantly higher than Forest’s opening bid and matching what Marinakis and his side were expected to offer next.
Spurs have also rejected Newcastle’s bid, although it is understood that the Lilywhites will be open to selling if they receive an offer that meets their valuation.
The publication also adds that all attempts to sign Bergvall so far, including higher proposals, have been rejected by Spurs.
Spurs are in a strong position over Bergvall
The latest additions of Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali are only going to make it more difficult for Bergvall to secure regular game time at Spurs.
The 20-year-old is believed to be looking to feature more in the number eight position.
Both Fernandes and Tonali have joined Tottenham for mammoth fees and are expected to form part of the club’s new-look midfield.
However, Newcastle only recently received £100 million from Tottenham for Tonali, while Forest received £116 million from Manchester City for Elliot Anderson.
The two clubs have money to spend, and Spurs are well aware of that, leaving them in a strong position to stand firm on their valuation.
