Tottenham have now completed the sale of Djed Spence, four years after his £12.5 million move from Middlesbrough.

Djed Spence’s rise at Tottenham Hotspur in the last few seasons has been nothing short of remarkable.

Spurs surely benefited from these qualities, as the full-back was part of the squad that helped Tottenham end their near two‑decade wait for silverware when they won the Europa League back in 2025.

Tottenham confirm Djed Spence departure to Inter Milan

Despite shining at the World Cup, this summer transfer window has brought an end to Spence’s four-year stay in north London.

The official Spurs account has now confirmed the full-back’s departure to Italy, where he will be joining Serie A champions Inter Milan.

The Italian outfit have long been in the race for Spence, showing interest early in the summer during the World Cup.

Spence’s World Cup performances saw Inter ramp up their pursuit of the Englishman before agreeing a £30 million deal with Tottenham.

Spurs’ summer income rises after Spence exit

His departure follows Solomon, Romero, and Phillips in the past week, with the quartet fetching a potential £91.1m between them.

That means, although Tottenham spent big and spent early on the likes of Tonali, Fernandes, and Van Hecke, their sales now almost match their financial outgoings.

The net spend has dropped to a potential £32.8m if all add-ons are included, with £237m spent on new players and £204.2m generated from 10 sales.
