Richarlison’s love affair with England is set to continue long into the future, with the Tottenham star admitting that he has passed the British citizenship test.

Richarlison would have been disappointed to miss out on Brazil’s World Cup squad, and had to watch on from home this summer as the Selecao crashed out of the World Cup at the round of 16 stage.

The Spurs striker continues to be heavily linked with a move away from N17, and his future may not be far away from the headlines over the next few weeks.

While his future at Tottenham Hotspur may be in doubt, the 29-year-old has seemingly made up his mind on living in England for the rest of his life.

Tottenham star Richarlison reveals questions he answered in UK citizenship test

The Brazilian is part of the first group back at Hotspur Way for pre-season, and it turns out that he has used the summer to apply for British citizenship.

Richarlison shared this on Tottenham’s official Instagram account, revealing that he had been studying for three months to pass the test.

When asked what questions he had to answer in the test, the striker responded: “The questions? Queen Elizabeth. The wars. The First World War, the Second World War, it’s difficult.” Asked if it had been a success, he replied: “I passed, I passed. Of course. I studied for three months.”

While Richarlison has now spent nearly a decade in England, the forward made it clear that his football allegiance will always belong to Brazil. When quizzed on whether he will support the Three Lions now, he showed his chest tattoo and responded: “No, I’m Brazil.”

What is Spurs’ valuation of Richarlison?

According to reports, Tottenham are not expected to accept anything less than €30m (£25.9m) for Richarlison, who finished as the club’s top scorer last season with 12 goals across all competitions.

Some sources have suggested that Spurs may have received an offer for the striker from an unnamed Turkish club.

However, given Richarlison’s continued love affair with England, one would expect the striker to prioritise a move within the Premier League if he is to leave N17 this summer.
