Jamie Donley showcased his class on his debut for Luton Town after completing a late loan move away from Tottenham.
Donley was one of several youngsters who left Hotspur Way over the summer, and there will undoubtedly be a lot of interest from Spurs fans in how the midfielder does at Luton.
The 21-year-old struggled for game time on loan at Stoke City during the first half of last season, and while he was a little better at Oxford United in the second part of the campaign, he did not have too many noteworthy performances.
The midfielder has now taken a step back down to League One, where he previously thrived at Leyton Orient in the 2024-25 season, and he has started his fourth loan spell away from Spurs with a bang.

Donley started as a number 10 for Luton and played all 90 minutes yesterday as they beat Stockport County 2-0 at home.
The Tottenham midfielder picked up an assist for Luton’s second goal, with his crisp pass being picked up by Callum Marshall, who produced an excellent strike from outside the box.
According to FotMob, Donley had the second-highest performance rating in the game, being handed a 7.9 out of 10.
The Tottenham man had three touches in the opposition box, completed two dribbles, and completed one accurate long ball. He was also efficient off the ball, making four recoveries and three defensive contributions, including one clearance and one interception.
Perhaps the most surprising stat is that Donley won nine duels, the most in the game, including three out of the four aerial duels. The attacking midfielder was fouled three times during the game.

This is a make-or-break season for Donley
The young midfielder featured heavily in the club’s pre-season friendlies, playing six times across the summer, and was one of Tottenham’s best performers in many of those matches.
It was the first time that Roberto De Zerbi had the chance to assess the youngster, and the Spurs boss was full of praise for Donley.
However, on the back of a disappointing season last term, this is an extremely important campaign for the midfielder, who is rated very highly at Hotspur Way.
Donley has to shine at Kenilworth Road this season if he is to harbour hopes of becoming a first-team regular at Tottenham in the future.
