Tottenham Hotspur have announced another major attacking signing following their bruising defeat to Brentford in their first Premier League fixture of the season.
Spurs’ shortcomings in attack were exposed at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday, with a front three of Mikey Moore, Mathys Tel and Richarlison struggling to threaten the Bees.
However, the Lilywhites have not wasted any time in bringing in additional attacking reinforcements, with two Man City players arriving through the door.
Savinho was the first player to complete a move to Hotspur Way, and he has now been followed to N17 by his former City teammate.
Tottenham confirm signing of Omar Marmoush
Omar Marmoush was an unused substitute during Man City’s 2-1 win against Bournemouth on Sunday, and Tottenham have now confirmed that the Egypt international has completed a switch to North London.
Marmoush joins Spurs on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy for £50m + £10m in add-ons next summer.
The former Eintracht Frankfurt man will be expected to lead the line for the Lilywhites, and Roberto De Zerbi will hope that he helps solve the club’s issues in front of goal.
Tottenham wrote: ‘We are delighted to announce the signing of Egypt international forward Omar Marmoush on a season-long loan.
‘Omar joins the Club from Manchester City, and the deal includes an obligation to make the move permanent next summer.’

Spurs are expected to sign one more attacker
It has been widely reported that Tottenham also want to add Cody Gakpo to their squad, which would give the club a completely brand new front three.
However, the Dutchman was Liverpool’s best attacker on show at St James’ Park on Sunday and opened the scoring for the Reds with a superb strike.
Tottenham will be hoping that the performance does not lead to Andoni Iraola’s men having a change of heart and deciding to hang onto the forward. The signing of Bradley Barcola could serve as the first domino in a chain reaction there, though.
