Tottenham are one of four Premier League clubs tracking VfB Stuttgart’s Bilal El Khannouss, despite already strengthening their left wing this summer.
Tottenham Hotspur managed to bolster their attack during the summer transfer window after their £394 million spending spree.
But question marks remain over the left‑wing spot after Spurs signed Mykhailo Mudryk on loan, despite the 25‑year‑old not playing in a competitive match since 2024 before his move.
Mudryk was certainly not Spurs’ first choice, as the Lilywhites settled for the Ukrainian after moves for Cody Gakpo and Iliman Ndiaye fell through.
Tottenham among four clubs monitoring £45m Bilal El Khannouss
Fussball Daten is now reporting that Tottenham are one of four clubs in the race for Bilal El Khannouss, a player capable of filling in on the left and as a number ten.
The 22‑year‑old versatile winger is no stranger to life in England, having previously managed a spell with Leicester City.
During his time with the Foxes, El Khannouss made 39 appearances, scored three goals and contributed seven assists.
Tottenham, as well as Newcastle United, Everton and Crystal Palace, are the Premier League sides monitoring the wide forward, who is valued at £45 million, with his contract at Stuttgart set to expire in 2031.
Spurs unlikely to pursue El Khannouss despite scouting
While Tottenham are gathering information about the player, it seems unlikely that the Lilywhites will make a move for the wide forward.
At the moment, Spurs still have several players who can feature on the left in their squad. Wilson Odobert is nearing a return from his ACL injury and would serve as competition to both Mudryk and Mathys Tel.
Xavi Simons is also close to a return, and the Dutchman is capable of playing on the left side of the attack.
Omar Marmoush and Savio are likewise comfortable operating on the left for Tottenham. Adding El Khannouss on top of that would certainly be overkill.
