A 21-year-old Spanish centre-back may be on his way to Tottenham Hotspur for a cut-price fee this summer, and Barcelona are keeping an eye out.
While Micky van de Ven looks set to stay at Spurs, the same cannot be said with any confidence about his centre-back partner.
Reports continue to indicate that Cristian Romero could be on his way out of Tottenham, and the Lilywhites appear to be wasting no time securing replacements.
Spurs are expected to wrap up the free signing of Marcos Senesi after his contract with Bournemouth ran out, and they are also allegedly plotting a move for a young, up-and-coming centre-half.

Tottenham target Sergi Dominguez is ‘certain’ to make a big move
It emerged earlier this week that Spurs had entered the race to sign Dinamo Zagreb’s Sergi Dominguez, who has been exceptional since leaving Barca to move to Croatian football last summer.
It is now being reported by Mundo Deportivo (as relayed by Sport Witness) that Barca are keeping an eye on Dominguez’s situation since they have a 20 per cent sell-on clause on the defender.
While the report confirms that Tottenham Hotspur have expressed an interest in the 21-year-old, it is revealed that no formal offers have been tabled yet.
Meanwhile, another report in Sport (via Sport Witness) claims that Dominguez’s ‘sale is virtually certain to happen in the coming weeks’ and adds that the Spaniard ‘could be headed’ to Tottenham this summer.
How much are Spurs expected to pay for Domínguez?
Sport go on to explain that Roberto De Zerbi’s men are willing to pay €9m (£7.7m) for the Barca academy graduate this summer.
This is good news for the Catalan club, who expect to have their coffers boosted by €2m (£1.7m) from Domínguez’s potential switch to the North London club.
It has been claimed by other sources that Lazio are ready to challenge Tottenham for Dominguez, with the Serie A club having expressed ‘strong interest’ and held ‘fruitful contacts’ over a deal for the 21-year-old.
