Video: Spurs fans in rare Moussa Sissoko song tribute

It is fair to say that Moussa Sissoko hasn’t had the easiest of times at Tottenham Hotspur since his then club record transfer from Newcastle United.

The midfielder joined Spurs on a five-year contract on deadline day in August 2016 and has struggled to make an impact at the club.

One person who has always had the belief in the French international is boss Mauricio Pochettino who has given him plenty of opportunities to try and impress.

Sissoko started yesterday’s 1-0 win at West Ham United due to a spate of recent midfield injuries including Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Mousa Dembele.

The 29-year-old had one of his best games in a Spurs shirt to date and played a lovely cross onto the head of Erik Lamela just before half time in what proved to be the winning goal.

Spurs fans recognised Sissoko’s efforts at the London Stadium and serenaded him with a rendition of “Oooo Moussa Sissoko”.

With games set to come thick and fast for Spurs, hopefully this performance will give Sissoko the confidence to go and do it on a regular basis.
