Footage from Tottenham’s open training session in Auckland has given fans some insight into Roberto De Zerbi’s unique coaching methods.
The new Premier League season is now less than a month away, with Spurs kicking off their campaign with a trip to Brentford on August 22.
Roberto De Zerbi’s men are stepping up their preparations for the new campaign, with a 35-man Tottenham squad travelling to New Zealand and Australia for their pre-season tour.
The Lilywhites will face Auckland FC tomorrow in their second pre-season friendly of the summer before taking on Sydney FC and Chelsea over the next few days.

The Tottenham players had an open training session at the historic Eden Park, a multi-sport venue that also hosts Rugby and Cricket.
Journalist Chris Cowlin has now shared a clip of Tottenham’s open training session from Eden Park, and it is clear that De Zerbi is extremely hands-on in his coaching.
The 46-year-old can be walking over to various players and being very deliberate in what he expects of them, as opposed to standing back and allowing his assistants to run the session.
De Zerbi has said that Spurs’ style of play will change next season
While Tottenham’s attacking play did improve after the Italian arrived last season, Spurs fans did not get to see the free-flowing style of play that his sides are famous for.
De Zerbi has already remarked that we will see a very different Spurs side next season, admitting that there was not enough time to focus on the style of play during the relegation battle last season.
One can certainly see that the 46-year-old is drilling his players more specifically on the training ground, and we will get a glimpse of how the team is evolving when they take to the field against Auckland tomorrow.
