West Ham United have expressed an interest in signing a Tottenham attacker, who is looking to seal an exit out of N17.
Tottenham and West Ham went 14 years without doing any business after the Scott Parker deal in 2011, but they have both put their differences aside to agree two deals over the last two windows.
The Lilywhites raided their London rivals for Mohammed Kudus last summer, and they have poached Mateus Fernandes from the London Stadium this summer after the Hammers’ relegation.
It has now emerged that the two clubs could look to take advantage of their developing relationship to complete another transfer over the coming weeks.
West Ham express interest in Tottenham winger Manor Solomon
According to Sport 5 (as relayed by Sport Witness), Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have expressed an interest in signing Manor Solomon, who is expected to leave Spurs before the start of the new season.
West Ham are looking to replace Crysencio Summerville, who has joined Saudi club Al-Hilal, and they have identified the Tottenham man as someone who can make up for the Dutchman’s loss.
The East London club are looking to build a squad that can help them bounce straight back up to the Premier League, and they believe that Solomon could aid them in their efforts to do so.
The Israel international scored 10 goals and made 12 assists from 39 Championship matches in his previous stint in the second tier on loan at Leeds United, and West Ham believe he can replicate a similar output for them next season.
Return to Fiorentina remains an option for Solomon
Fiorentina did not exercise their £8.7m purchase option on Solomon on the back of his loan spell at the Serie A club during the second half of last season.
However, this latest update from Sport 5 says that a return to the Artemio Franchi Stadium continues to remain an option for the 27-year-old this summer.
Earlier this week, Solomon’s agent confirmed that his client will be leaving Tottenham permanently, ruling out another loan switch.
