Line Ups: West Ham v Tottenham – van de Ven starts

Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou has named his side which will take to the field in this evening’s Premier League clash against West Ham United at the LondonStadium.

Tottenham make the trip to the taxpayer-funded venue to face the Hammers in what is always their ‘cup final’ fixture as they look to secure their bragging rights despite being some way down on the rivalry pecking order of the North Londoners behind Arsenal and Chelsea.

West Ham come into the fixture on the back of a 4-3 defeat at Newcastle United on Saturday, a match which at one stage they were 3-1 ahead at St James’ Park.

Spurs secured a late 2-1 win over Luton Town at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the weekend thanks to Heung-min Son‘s late goal and need another victory tonight in order to keep pace with fourth-placed Aston Villa who make the trip to Premier League champions Manchester City tomorrow.

One concern is Tottenham have failed to win four of their last five Premier League games away from home, while the Hammers have won just one of their previous six matches at the London Stadium.

Frustratingly, Tottenham had to come from behind against Luton and once again struggled to score during the first half.
