Tottenham Hotspur have a big decision to make regarding the future of Mikey Moore after Borussia Dortmund reached out to the Premier League side to express their interest in the teenager.

There is no shortage of interest in Moore after he excelled on loan at Rangers last season, and reports indicate that the 18-year-old has been informed by Tottenham that he will be loaned out again next season.

This is because Roberto De Zerbi wants to add more quality to his forward line and does not see a clear pathway for the Spurs academy graduate to get regular first-team football next season.

It emerged a couple of days ago that Borussia Dortmund are among the clubs interested in signing Moore on loan, but it turns out that Tottenham do not agree with the formula proposed by the Bundesliga club.

Borussia Dortmund want Tottenham to add an option to buy in loan deal for Mikey Moore

TEAMtalk say that the German club has already made contact with Spurs over a prospective deal for the winger and have made it very clear they have a keen interest in taking the player to the Bundesliga.

It is revealed that in their talks with Tottenham, Dortmund have asked about adding an option to buy along with any loan deal for Moore.

Spurs are not enthusiastic about such an arrangement, with the Lilywhites wanting to avoid a permanent sale at this point in the winger’s career.

Tottenham would prefer to send Moore out on loan again so that he can continue getting accustomed to football at the highest level, with the North London club viewing the player as someone who has the potential to reach the very top.

Spurs would prefer to loan Moore to Dortmund over Rangers

TEAMtalk say that it is unclear if Tottenham’s unwillingness to offer an option to buy would put Dortmund off in their transfer pursuit.

While Rangers remain keen on re-signing Moore on loan next season, Spurs feel that a year in the Bundesliga could be extremely beneficial for the winger’s development.

The Tottenham decision-makers consider the German top-flight to be a big step up in quality from the Scottish league and would like to see their academy graduate test himself at Dortmund.
