Mikey Moore grabbed his opportunity against Hoffenheim with both hands, amid rumours linking the Tottenham winger with a loan move to FC Köln.

The winger’s reputation was enhanced due to his outstanding display on loan at Rangers, with the teenager now looking to take a step up from the Scottish Premiership.

According to reports, Moore’s preferred destination is the Bundesliga, with the player already having agreed to join FC Köln on a season-long loan.

However, several other Bundesliga clubs and AZ Alkmaar are still chasing the Spurs youngster, who has impressed in pre-season under Roberto De Zerbi.

FC Köln remain confident over loan deal for Tottenham starlet Mikey Moore

According to a report in Geissblog, Köln are continuing to work on signing Moore and Bologna forward Thijs Dallinga on season-long loan deals.

It is revealed that the German club have reached an agreement with Tottenham regarding the 18-year-old, with only a medical left to be completed before his move is confirmed.

Köln are waiting for Spurs to greenlight the move, which the Premier League side are expected to do once they add another winger to the squad.

There is confidence at the Bundesliga side that a deal will go through, with the report believing that Moore’s move to the Rhein Energie Stadion is ‘imminent’.

Could Moore’s performance against Hoffenheim have changed Roberto De Zerbi’s mind?

The big question is whether the winger’s performance against Hoffenheim potentially led to a change in Tottenham’s plans.

Moore netted a brace in the 3-0 win over the Bundesliga side at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, and proved a great outlet down the right through the game.

After the win, the Spurs academy graduate revealed he is enjoying working with De Zerbi, confessing that the Italian is a perfectionist and extremely demanding.
