Tottenham fans will love how Xavi Simons reacted after seeing Savio announce himself to the Spurs faithful with an outstanding debut performance.
While a midweek tie against a Championship club in the second round of the Carabao Cup generally tends to be uninspiring, Tottenham’s clash against Charlton was anything but.
That was thanks in part to one man: Savio, who came off the bench for his Spurs debut just a day after signing for the club.
The crowd at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium gave a loud roar when the Brazilian was introduced in the 71st minute for Dominic Solanke, and the winger gave a taste of what is to come.

As soon as he came on, the 22-year-old was keen to run at opposition defenders and make things happen, showing why Roberto De Zerbi was so keen to bring him through the door.
The moment of magic came in the 82nd minute as Savio cut in from the right past two Charlton defenders and arrowed a shot into the bottom corner.
The winger would then go on to get an assist three minutes later as his shot hit Ben Davies before going into the back of the net, but it was his goal that inspired a funny reaction out of Xavi.
The Dutchman, who has played with Savio at PSV Eindhoven, was at the stadium, and he took to Snapchat to post an image of the winger’s celebration, along with the caption: “Told you.”

Xavi has been acting as a Tottenham ITK regarding the Savinho rumours all summer, with the attacking midfielder being desperate to reunite with his former teammate at N17.
Fittingly, it was the Netherlands international who welcomed the latest Spurs signing to the club in the welcome video when the club completed the deal on Tuesday.
It is clear that the pair have an excellent relationship off the pitch, and Tottenham fans will be eagerly waiting for the Dutchman to see what they can produce together on it.
