Gallery: Five things we learned from the 1-0 home win against Brighton

From the thrills of last Wednesday against Man City to the frustratingly dull affair that was the Brighton match.

It always looked as if it would be one of those that Spurs would romp if they grabbed an early goal, but struggle if they didn’t.

With Brighton fighting for Premier League survival and Spurs fighting for a top four finish, it really was defence against attack for 90 minutes.

3. The late show with Christian Eriksen

Late goals have always been somewhat of a trademark for Eriksen at Spurs, and tonight was no different. The Great Dane managed to pick the ball up on his weak foot from 25 plus yards and let rip with a skimming shot into the bottom corner. After months of not performing, the playmaker finally seems to be showing his class again.
