Tottenham Hotspur are continuing their summer transfer work as the club look to strengthen their squad, with another potential arrival now edging closer after a busy start to the window.
Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of three outfield players so far, with Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson and Jan Paul van Hecke all through the door.
Senesi and Robertson arrived on free transfers after seeing out their contracts at their respective clubs, with Tottenham paying £52 million for van Hecke.
Regardless, work continues to be done, with Tottenham now understood to be closing in on another free agent signing.

Tottenham target Martin Dubravka deal
Spurs Web reported earlier today that work is being done at Tottenham to secure a backup goalkeeper.
We stated that Martin Dubravka, who is set to become a free agent at the end of this month, is their number one choice as Spurs draw up a three-man shortlist that includes Karl Darlow and Jason Steele.
Paul O Keefe has now provided a further update on Tottenham’s pursuit of the Burnley man, revealing that talks have progressed with Dubravka and that a deal is expected to be completed soon.
Spurs goalkeeper situation after Martin Dubravka transfer update
Should he complete his move, he will become Tottenham’s fourth official signing this summer.
However, that would leave Spurs stacked in the goalkeeping department, with Antonin Kinsky, Guglielmo Vicario and Brandon Austin all in the Tottenham ranks.
We have since revealed that work is being done to sell Vicario, while Kinsky is expected to be promoted to first-choice goalkeeper next season.
