Pape Matar Sarr could yet leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer, but reports of a bid from Galatasaray have been met with contrasting claims.
After their signings of Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes at the start of the summer, Tottenham have an abundance of central midfield options at their disposal, with a couple of late sales mooted as a possibility.
There continues to be speculation over the future of Lucas Bergvall, but the player who looks most likely to leave at the moment is Pape Sarr.
It has been widely reported over recent weeks that Spurs are listening to offers for the Senegal international and they have now allegedly received a fresh offer.

Tottenham reject Galatasaray’s offer for Pape Matar Sarr
Journalist Sacha Tavolieri has now revealed that Galatasaray SK have submitted an €18m (£15.4m) bid for the Tottenham midfielder.
However, he explained that the bid has been turned down by Spurs, who are holding out for €25m (£21.4m). He also adds that the Turkish club are not expected to have any issues agreeing personal terms with the 23-year-old.
Tavolieri wrote on X: Galatasaray SK have submitted an €18m bid for Pape Matar Sarr! First offer rejected, with talks ongoing with Tottenham Hotspur, who are demanding at least €25m (£21.4m). Galatasaray are progressing with Sarr over personal terms — no issue there.”
Galatasaray rumoured bid for Sarr denied by two journalists
However, this information has been denied by Sky Sports’ Michael Bridge, who says that Tottenham have not received any formal offer or even an expression of interest from Galatasaray for the former Metz man.
Bridge wrote on X: “Understand there’s been no bid (or contact) for Pape Matar Sarr after latest links to Galatasaray.”
While The Sun’s Tom Barclay also denied that the Istanbul club have made an offer, he confirmed that they do hold interest in the Tottenham man. He also added that a late exit from N17 remains on the cards for the midfielder.
Barclay wrote on X: “Understand Galatasaray are interested in Pape Matar Sarr, but Spurs sources assure me nothing is advanced at present. Sarr may find game-time hard to come by this season given sheer volume of CMs and no Europe, so an exit before the window shuts is a possibility.”
