Roberto De Zerbi has hinted that Pape Matar Sarr could leave Tottenham Hotspur in this summer’s transfer window – and he suggested that other departures may also follow.
Tottenham Hotspur have certainly shown ambition this summer transfer window with the players they have brought through the door.
All of Tottenham’s summer signings have arrived from Premier League clubs and have commanded significant fees, with a few free transfers mixed in.
But Tottenham have also been shrewd with their sales, with the Lilywhites generating an impressive £204.2 million from departures this summer.

Roberto De Zerbi hints at more Tottenham exits before deadline
However, according to Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi, there could well be more sales to come before the transfer window slams shut in a few days.
Several Spurs players have continued to attract plenty of interest this summer, including midfielder Pape Matar Sarr.
Clubs in the Premier League, the Middle East and even in Ligue 1 are understood to be keen on signing Sarr permanently. Tottenham, on their part, are open to a sale.
Now, De Zerbi has confirmed that Sarr’s departure this summer remains likely and he could well not be the only one leaving.
He told football.london: “Pape is good. We have to see in the last days of the transfer market what can happen with him.
“I’ve been very clear with all the players. If you speak clearly you can’t expect surprises. The players who wanted to leave have left. We maybe have some players who want to leave and they are waiting, we are waiting for an offer. You have to feel proud to stay here. It’s an emotional project we are building with new players.”
Pape Matar Sarr transfer interest grows
It was reported that Sarr requested to leave Tottenham after he was left out of the matchday squad against Brentford.
Sarr’s transfer request has since led to a host of clubs enquiring about him, with Monaco considering a move for the Senegal international.
The French side, however, has now been joined by Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace, who are also showing interest in Sarr. As for Spurs, they are said to value the 23-year-old at around £35 million.
