Despite completing eight signings in this summer’s transfer window, Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi has hinted that there could still be one more addition to come.
The summer transfer window is set to slam shut on 1 September 2026 at 11 pm in England, leaving roughly four days before it closes.
Indeed, Tottenham have been one of the busier sides, with the Lilywhites having completed the signings of eight players, spending a whopping £382 million in the process.

However, it seems like they just might not be done just yet, according to Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi.

Roberto De Zerbi reveals Tottenham could make one more signing
The Italian has already expressed his delight since Spurs secured forward additions this week, with the signings of Omar Marmoush and Savio in what was a double swoop of Manchester City’s attack.
Savio did not waste any time introducing himself to the Lilywhites, with the new signing getting on the scoresheet on Wednesday after coming off the bench.
But De Zerbi has now admitted that there could be one more signing before the summer transfer window slams shut.
Speaking to football.london, the Spurs boss revealed that Tottenham could still make an addition to their squad, with the club’s hierarchy discussing the possibility with De Zerbi as they look to make the most of the remaining days of the window.
He said: “I didn’t expect a transfer window like we have done. I think we can do one player more in one specific position. Yesterday we went to dinner with the owners, Johan and Vinai and we spoke about this. All of us are on the same page and a very good connection.”
When asked if it would be another bomba, he added: “I think Savio and Marmoush are bomba. I don’t know what name you want to call them. Players of that height and level for sure.”
Spurs could move for another attacking player
It certainly has been one of the better summer transfer windows for the Lilywhites so far, who have bolstered their squad and also got rid of players who were not keen to stay in north London.
Tottenham’s spending of £382 million is the most they have managed in their history, and with another player potentially still to come, that figure could well edge closer to £500 million.
Rumours have it that the next target for Spurs could be a left winger, with Cody Gakpo reported to be on their radar.
In fact, Tottenham were handed a big boost in their pursuit of Gakpo yesterday after reports emerged that Liverpool and PSG have finally reached an agreement for the fee of Bradley Barcola.
It remains to be seen if there will be any movement there as the window nears its end.
