Dejan Kulusevski has shared another update on his recovery after spending more than a year sidelined at Tottenham and missing out on the World Cup.

Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to see Dejan Kulusevski make a swift return to the pitch after spending over a year on the sidelines.

Many fans are of the opinion that the Swede may never play football again, given the length of his absence.

There was an expectation that Kulusevski would make Sweden’s World Cup squad, but he has since been left out as he continues his recovery.

Sweden’s team doctor also remains rather uncertain about Kulusevski‘s chances of playing football again.

When asked whether he expects the midfielder to return to the sport, he replied: “I hope so”, which will certainly not fill Spurs fans with confidence.

Tottenham star Dejan Kulusevski shares latest recovery update

Kulusevski has continued his recovery and has been providing updates on his progress through social media.

Spurs Web recently relayed one of the Swede’s updates, with Kulusevski seen jogging outdoors. That was followed by footage of the midfielder kicking a ball.

Now, the 26-year-old has shared a video of himself taking part in a more physical activity and even a different sport.

Kulusevski posted a brief 15-second clip of himself playing basketball with a few friends, where he was seen attempting to dribble the ball and appeared to be moving freely.

Spurs fans may have mixed feelings over latest Kulusevski footage

Surely this latest update will leave Tottenham fans with mixed feelings. On one hand, it is encouraging to see the Swede taking part in such a physical and demanding sport, but with that comes the concern of him potentially aggravating his knee problem.

However, at some stage, the midfielder will need to take part in these types of activities as he continues to build strength during his recovery.

Spurs will now be hoping this is the final stretch of what has been a lengthy spell on the sidelines for the versatile midfielder.
