Following his £30million switch to Inter Milan, Djed Spence has now sent a farewell message to Tottenham fans.
It is becoming a summer transfer window of big departures at Tottenham Hotspur, with as many as nine players having been sold.
Spurs have also racked up a significant amount from player sales, having received a whopping £204.2million this transfer window.
Tottenham’s sales have included youngsters as well as first-team regulars in what has been a major surgery carried out by Roberto De Zerbi.

Djed Spence sends emotional message to Tottenham fans after Inter Milan move
Among those to have departed north London this summer is full-back Djed Spence. The 26-year-old arrived four seasons ago and only put pen to paper on a new contract last summer.
However, that was not enough to keep him at Tottenham after his stellar World Cup performance saw him attract interest from a host of sides in the Premier League and Europe.
Inter Milan were the club who won the race for Spence, signing him for £30million. The full-back was completely open to a move as he looks to continue his career abroad.
This, of course, is not Spence’s first time in Italy, having been loaned to Genoa back in the winter of 2024. Following his latest switch, Spence has now sent a heartfelt message to Spurs supporters.
He wrote: “.A special chapter comes to an end, It’s been some journey, with plenty of memories, moments and experiences that I’ll carry with me for forever, especially that night in Bilbao 🏆 Thanks to all the staff members who’ve helped me along the way, the players who’ve become family & most importantly thank you to the fans. Time for a new chapter now, but Spurs will always have a place in my heart 🤍 COYS !!”

Spurs weigh options as search for Spence replacement continues
It remains to be seen if Tottenham would enter the transfer market for a new replacement for Djed Spence.
It was reported earlier this summer that Nottingham Forest’s Neco Williams is one under the radar of Spurs following talks about a potential Spence exit.
Forest, however, are not looking to sell their versatile full-back. Instead, the Tricky Trees are looking to extend the 25-year-old’s contract.
Reports from recent weeks have also claimed that De Zerbi is keen on keeping Souza in his squad despite FC Porto showing interest in signing him.
