Manchester United have entered the race for Neco Williams as Tottenham eye a move for the Nottingham Forest defender following talks over a potential Djed Spence exit.
Neco Williams is one shock player to have been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer transfer window.
Spurs have strengthened at the back already, with Jan Paul van Hecke, Marcos Senesi and Andy Robertson all coming in.
However, with Inter Milan showing interest in Djed Spence, Tottenham face the possibility of losing a full-back, prompting links to Williams.

The Nottingham Forest man impressed last campaign and was even named Player of the Season at the City Ground, beating Elliot Anderson and Morgan Gibbs-White to the award.
Williams’ underlying numbers also show that he is more than capable of replacing Spence at full-back, outperforming him in almost every metric.
Football Insider is now reporting that Tottenham are not going to have a free run at the former Liverpool full-back.
It is understood that Manchester United have now entered the race and are looking to poach him as they seek to improve their full-back depth.
Explaining United’s interest, Pete O’Rourke revealed: “Neco Williams has been on the radar of a number of clubs in the Premier League ahead of the summer transfer window.
“He’s such a versatile player as well, he can play at right-back and at left-back, which he has predominantly done for Nottingham Forest over the last couple of seasons.
“He’s a player that I’m sure Man United scouts are well aware of and have been keeping tabs on in the last 12 months or so to improve at left-back.
“As I said, he’s such a versatile player, he would be a dream for any manager because of his versatility that he can play right back or left back as well.
“It is an area of the team that United are looking to strengthen in the long term due to Luke Shaw not getting any younger and maybe that right-back spot not being nailed down by anybody either.”
Spurs face battle to sign Neco Williams
Spurs and United are not going to find it easy to snatch the 25‑year‑old this summer. Forest are not keen on letting Williams leave and are instead looking to tie him down to a new contract.
The former Liverpool full‑back’s current deal runs until 2029, having only signed fresh terms last summer.
However, with interest growing, Forest are now looking to offer Williams another new contract to fend off potential suitors.
