Tottenham Hotspur fans have good reason to be very excited amid the latest updates regarding the club’s pursuit of Sandro Tonali.
It has been widely reported that Spurs are continuing to work on a deal for Tonali, despite landing Mateus Fernandes in a club-record deal from West Ham.
Over the last week, several reliable sources have suggested that the Newcastle star has given the green light to join Tottenham.
Based on the various updates over the last few hours, it appears that the Italy international may not be far away from sealing the move from the North East to London.

Sandro Tonali is now closer than ever to joining Tottenham
Earlier today, journalist Nicolo Schira revealed that the 26-year-old is edging closer to joining Spurs, explaining that Roberto De Zerbi has proven to be a decisive factor in convincing the player to come to N17.
It appears the transfer is now moving fast, with the reputed Gianluca Di Marzio providing a positive update on the Tonali deal.
The journalist said that Tonali ‘has never been this close’ to Tottenham, with the Lilywhites now waiting for a response from Newcastle after their latest offer.
Di Marzio wrote on X: “Sandro Tonali has never been this close to joining Spurs. THFC are waiting for NUFC’s final reply after discussing an offer over €100m.”
Fabrizio Romano hints Tonali is on the verge of joining Spurs
What will excite Spurs fans even more is that Fabrizio Romano also appears to believe that the Italy international is close to completing the switch to Tottenham.
Less than an hour ago, the journalist took to social media to reveal that talks are continuing between Newcastle and Spurs over Tonali.
Merely minutes ago, Romano posted a cryptic tweet with the eyes and fire emojis for the Tonali transfer, which is usually a precursor to his customary ‘here we go’.
