As interest in Andy Robertson grows ahead of the summer, Fabrizio Romano has revealed how likely the Liverpool man is to end up at Tottenham this summer.
While Tottenham may have failed with a move to land the Liverpool star in the January window, the Lilywhites have done groundwork to ensure they secure the left-back as a free agent this summer.
A number of sources have claimed that Robertson had already verbally agreed to join Spurs as long as they stay in the Premier League.
However, it has emerged over recent weeks that the Tottenham target has also allegedly held talks with Celtic, where he came through the ranks.

Andy Robertson will prioritise a move to Tottenham
Over the last few days, it has emerged that Atletico Madrid are also ready to challenge Spurs for Robertson this summer.
However, Romano has now handed the North Londoners a boost by stating that the Liverpool star would give preference to Roberto De Zerbi’s side as long as they avoid relegation.
Speaking about Tottenham’s summer objectives, the journalist told GiveMeSport: “The first signing if they stay in the Premier League would be Andy Robertson, who has already verbally agreed to join the Tottenham project if they can continue at the highest level.
“The contract has not been signed as Robertson wants to wait until the verdict is official, as he doesn’t intend to play Championship football; but that deal would be activated and sealed if all goes to plan for Spurs.
“Robertson also received more approaches and proposals, but Tottenham were already on it in January and hoped to get everything done in case of good news from the relegation battle. He’d give priority to Spurs ahead of other Spanish and Italian clubs who are also interested.”
Spurs are working on several free transfers
Robertson is not the only soon-to-be free agent that Tottenham are eyeing, with the club also doing ground work on other free signings.
According to reports, Tottenham have opened talks with the representatives of Marcos Senesi as he nears the end of his contract with Bournemouth.
Additionally, over recent days, it has emerged that Spurs are considering a move for Rangers star James Tavernier, whose 11-year spell at Ibrox will come to an end when his deal runs out this summer.
