The interest in Luka Vuskovic is growing ahead of the summer window, with Tottenham potentially facing a massive fight on their hands to hold onto the centre-back.
Spurs already expect possible battles to keep Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, and they are now staring at the possibility of another one of their centre-backs being poached.
The likes of Liverpool are allegedly eyeing moves for Vuskovic, having been mightily impressed by the teenager’s displays on loan at Hamburg this season.
It has emerged over the last week that Spurs are ready to hand the Croat a new bumper contract in an effort to fend off the transfer interest in the 19-year-old.

Journalist Pete O’Rourke has now taken to social media to reveal that Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Chelsea have now joined Liverpool in the race for the Tottenham defender.
However, the journalist makes it clear that Spurs see Vuskovic as a key part of their plans and predicted that the most likely outcome is for the youngster to remain at N17.
When asked about the centre-back’s future, O’Rourke told Football Insider: “He’s been outstanding, one of the standout defenders in the Bundesliga for Hamburg this season. Tottenham see him as a key part of their plans for the future whatever league they’re in.
“You’ve had the likes of Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Chelsea all looking at Vuskovic ahead of the summer transfer window. Tottenham beat a host of clubs when they agreed to sign him as a youngster from Croatia, and next season could be a big opportunity for him to make an impact.
“Spurs wanted for him to get regular first team football ready to come back and challenge for a place in the Tottenham side and that’s what I fully expect him to do.”
Spurs getting desperate amid Vuskovic’s Barcelona talks
Over the last few days, some reports have suggested that it is Barcelona who are now advancing on a deal to sign the Spurs defensive starlet.
In fact, journalist Florian Plettenberg has claimed that super agent Pini Zahavi is holding talks with Barca over a summer move for Vuskovic.
The Sky Sports journalist added that Tottenham are desperately trying to tie down the youngster to a new contract and are ready to give him ‘a massive salary increase’.
