Roma may be about to give up their £23m pursuit of Tottenham’s Destiny Udogie after the deal hit a major hiccup.
We have seen the likes of Cristian Romero, Djed Spence and Guglielmo Vicario leave Tottenham over recent days, with all players joining European giants.
With Spurs expected to spend big in the final 12 days of the transfer window, more exits from Hotspur Way could be a possibility ahead of the September 1 deadline.
However, one Tottenham defender, who is no longer considered untouchable at the North London club, is seemingly not too keen on an exit this summer.

AS Roma looking to sign alternative to Tottenham’s Destiny Udogie
Italian outlets have reported over the past couple of weeks that AS Roma are eyeing a late £23m deal for Destiny Udogie, who has not featured a single time across pre-season for the Lilywhites.
However, a new report in Gazzetta dello Sport (as relayed by Sport Witness) has now revealed that the Tottenham man is no longer the Serie A club’s top left-back target.
The report says that Roma’s move to Udogie has stalled over the last few days, and the club have instead turned their attention to Inter Milan’s Luis Henrique.
The Giallorossi have begun negotiations with Inter Milan over Henrique, who has now become their ‘top priority’ in the dying stages of the window.
Udogie is not convinced about a move to Roma
Alfredo Pedulla has also reported something similar, stating that Udogie’s move to the Stadio Olimpico is at a ‘standstill phase’.
This is because the 23-year-old has his doubts about swapping Roberto De Zerbi’s side for Roma, while the Italian club’s boss, Gian Piero Gasperini, only wants players who are keen on playing for the club.
While the parties are still evaluating each other’s wishes, the deal is now at a point where it could be completely off the table.
