Tottenham Hotspur are attempting to pull off an extremely ambitious double deal for Manchester City pair Savinho and Omar Marmoush in the dying stages of the transfer window.
The Lilywhites are looking to end the transfer window with a bang after going one and a half months without any signing, following their blitz early in the window.
According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, Spurs are now progressing in talks to sign Omar Marmoush and Savinho from Manchester City.
It has been suggested by some sources that Tottenham would have to pay £150m to prise the City pair away from the Etihad Stadium at this stage of the window.

Man City are willing to sell Omar Marmoush and Savinho to Tottenham
Over the past few hours, there have been some updates suggesting that City are reluctant to sell Marmoush to Tottenham, as they feel they are short of quality options upfront.
However, Sky Sports journalist Ben Ransom has now revealed that Enzo Maresca is open to letting the Brazilian and the Egyptian leave if they want regular football away from the Etihad.
He said: “Both players [Savinho and Marmoush] are essentially surplus to requirements at Manchester City. It’s been pretty apparent through the summer. Enzo Maresca has said that in the case of both players, they are very much entitled to stay and fight for their first-team place.
“But equally, he understands, a bit like James Trafford, when a player wants to play first-team football, and they’re not guaranteed the starting shirt, then the club, if they receive an offer that’s acceptable, will not stand in their way. That applies to both players.
“City would need to replace these players. They would definitely, I’d say, have to replace one. I think they would like to and would aim to replace two. But the transfer window is closing in less than a fortnight. These are big positions to fill so late in the window.”
Spurs could have a 10/10 transfer window if they pull off three deals
The City pair are not the only forwards Tottenham want to sign, with reports indicating that De Zerbi’s men are also plotting a deal to poach Cody Gakpo from Liverpool.
If Spurs pull off these three deals before the September 1 deadline, it would be hard to argue that this was not a perfect 10/10 window for the club.
If Gakpo, Savinho and Marmoush arrive, the club would have essentially completed a full rebuild in a single window by exclusively signing Premier League-proven players.
