Man City have a clear stance over Tottenham and Newcastle transfer target Savinho as we head into the summer transfer window.

A little bit of ambition from Tottenham Hotspur was reported earlier this week when it was revealed that Spurs are looking to reignite their interest in Manchester City man Savinho.

Many Tottenham fans are aware that their club attempted to secure the services of the Brazil international last summer, only for Spurs’ £70 million pursuit of Savinho to fall through when Pep Guardiola opted against selling him.

The Spaniard has now departed City, and internal talks are reported to have taken place within Tottenham about making another push for the versatile winger.

Manchester City approve Savinho sale amid Tottenham interest

TeamTalk has now revealed the feeling within Manchester City after the latest Tottenham Hotspur interest in Savinho, who only put pen to paper on a new deal during the 2025-26 season.

It is understood that the eight-time Premier League winners are not looking to stand in the way of a potential move and have informed Savinho he can leave the club this summer.

It is further explained that while Manchester City are open to selling Savinho, they will also turn their attention to extending Jeremy Doku’s contract further, as they believe he has a higher ceiling compared to Savinho, given Doku’s stellar 2025-26 campaign.

Spurs and Newcastle expected to battle for Savinho

No price tag has been revealed for what Manchester City will demand this summer, now that they are open to a sale. It remains to be seen whether they will budge from their £70 million valuation from the last transfer window.

Savinho himself is open to a move away from Manchester City, while Newcastle United are also in the race for the Brazilian winger.
