Tottenham were handed a big boost ahead of this weekend’s encounter, with James Maddison making a return to first‑team training.
The Englishman’s return saw Spurs’ injury list reduce to just two players, with Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert standing as the only injured players.
However, it did not take long for Spurs’ injury list to go back to three, after reports emerged that Mykhailo Mudryk had suffered an ankle injury just days before the clash against Everton.
The wide forward is set to be sidelined until after the international break. As for Everton, Christian Nørgaard stands as their only absentee.
Spurs must be sharp to beat unbeaten Everton
Tottenham Hotspur can certainly secure a victory here against David Moyes’ side, but that win would not come easy.
As opposed to Spurs, who are winless this season, the Toffees have already managed a win after beating Crystal Palace on the opening day of the campaign.
