Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed Antonin Kinsky has signed a new long-term contract, securing his future at the club.

In the last week, Tottenham Hotspur seem to have turned their attention to their goalkeeping department as they continue what has been a major shake-up of their squad.

Martin Dubravka, 37, joined on a pre-contract agreement following the expiry of his Burnley deal as a backup goalkeeper for Spurs ahead of next season.

This has led to reports that Guglielmo Vicario could now be heading for the exit door, with plenty of interest from clubs in Italy.

Antonin Kinsky is expected to become Tottenham’s first-choice goalkeeper after impressing during the club’s run-in last season, and Spurs Web has since reported that a new contract was being prepared to reflect Kinsky’s new status.

Tottenham confirm Antonin Kinsky contract extension

Tottenham Hotspur have now confirmed that Antonin Kinsky has put pen to paper on a new contract following successful negotiations over the last couple of days.

Kinsky, who is currently on £30,000 a week, is set for a significant pay rise as the club looks to reflect his growing importance to the team.

It is rumoured that the five-year deal will keep him in north London until 2031, while Spurs also have the option of extending it by a further year.

Kinsky said: “I’m so happy and I can feel the trust from the Club. When I joined 18 months ago, my expectations were to fight for my place in the team and to wear this shirt every week.

“It’s been a real journey to get here and a nice story already, and I’m looking forward to what lies ahead over the next months and years.

“Everyone around the Club feels that we can have a successful season and I want to contribute to that. We want to give the fans what they want and what this Club deserves.”

Spurs reward Antonin Kinsky after impressive breakthrough

It certainly has not been smooth sailing for the Czech international since joining Tottenham in the winter window of 2025.

Kinsky has endured difficult moments, most notably during the Champions League round of 16 tie against Atletico Madrid, when he made three costly errors that led to goals for the Spanish side.

It was 15 minutes to forget for the 23-year-old, but he has since shown the resilience and character required of a goalkeeper at the highest level.

Tottenham have every reason to believe they made the right acquisition, with Kinsky showing his quality over the final seven games of last season, conceding just seven goals during that run while producing a couple of outstanding saves.
