Tottenham have been handed a major summer boost, with two big-name players spotted in outdoor training following extended spells on the sidelines.

Most of the attention at Tottenham Hotspur has been on the summer transfer market, with Spurs keen to improve their squad.

This has led to six new signings, with Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, Martin Dubravka, Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke all sealing moves to north London.

However, attention has also been on the player’s fitness, with the new season not too far from kicking off.

Roberto De Zerbi handed Tottenham boost as Mohammed Kudus and Dejan Kulusevski return

Mohammed Kudus and Dejan Kulusevski have been sidelined for a very long time at Hotspur Way. The former has been missing since January, while the latter has been out for well over a year. As a result, Spurs have had to be cautious in managing the pair given the severity of their respective injuries.

Tottenham now seem to have been handed a major boost, with Kudus and Kulusevski both spotted on the training pitches at Hotspur Way.

The Sweden and Ghana internationals were seen jogging and doing on-the-ball work and both looked to be moving freely, considering their lengths on the sidelines.

The pair now appear to have started the next phase of their rehabilitation and will be hoping to help Spurs next season.

Kulusevski fitness latest after Hotspur Way return

Journalist Alasdair Gold also shared a further update on Kulusevski‘s fitness following his recent appearance on the training pitch.

According to Gold, this is part of the Swede’s rehabilitation after his 15‑month absence. It is further explained that Kulusevski is not yet back training with the first‑team squad, with Spurs planning to phase him in gradually once he is ready, given how long he has been sidelined.

Head coach Roberto De Zerbi also opened up on Kulusevski’s fitness earlier today, saying: “Kulusevski, fit and right, he’s one of the best players we have in the squad. I wouldn’t like to put too much pressure on him to accelerate the process of rehab, but I hope he can be available as early as possible.”
