Juventus are now just one step away from securing the services of Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, but the structure of the deal isn’t exactly enticing.
Vicario is one of several senior players expected to leave Spurs before the start of the new season, as Roberto De Zerbi continues rebuilding the squad he inherited.
It has been reported by several Italian outlets over the last week that the Tottenham star has now emerged as Juventus’ priority goalkeeping target.
Luciano Spalletti has described Vicario as an ‘experienced and top-quality goalkeeper’, and the 29-year-old is now a step closer to linking up with the experienced Italian manager.

Calciomercato.it have revealed that Juve have now reached ‘a basic agreement’ with the Spurs man’s entourage on personal terms.
However, the deal is far from done, with ‘several details still needing to be ironed out with Tottenham’ for Vicario to become a Juventus player.
The report explains that the Serie A giants want to agree a loan deal with no obligation to buy, but Spurs have ‘doubts’ about such a deal.
Bewilderingly, the website also says that the North London club are ‘unsure’ about selling the shot-stopper, with De Zerbi valuing the Italy international and wanting ‘a reliable goalkeeper to partner Kinsky’.
De Zerbi has made his feelings clear on Vicario’s future
