Savinho is not the only Manchester City star on Roberto De Zerbi’s wishlist as Tottenham look to reinforce their attack over the coming weeks.
We are now into the final month of the window, and with De Zerbi admitting that Tottenham’s work is only 60 per cent done, one can expect the North London club to be very busy over the next few weeks.
Spurs have been reportedly left frustrated by Man City’s antics in the negotiations for Savinho, but the Lilywhites are continuing to pursue the Brazilian.
Over recent days, it has become clear that Cody Gakpo is also a top target for Tottenham, and it has now emerged that De Zerbi’s men are eyeing another Premier League forward.

Alasdair Gold confirms Omar Marmoush is on Tottenham’s radar
Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has now revealed that Spurs could also explore a move for Omar Marmoush alongside Savinho in the remaining weeks of the transfer window.
The Egyptian is said to be part of De Zerbi’s shortlist, alongside Savinho and Gakpo, with the journalist revealing that the Tottenham boss ‘loves’ Marmoush.
De Zerbi feels that the former Eintracht Frankfurt player, like Gakpo, would improve his side’s attack and would give him more options due to his ability to lead the line or play out wide.
It thus appears from Gold’s words that Marmoush may have been identified as an alternative to the Liverpool forward.
Gold wrote: ‘Moersen spent years within the City Football Group so his relationship there will be utilised as Spurs look to sign winger Savinho and potentially explore a move for another player De Zerbi loves in Omar Marmoush.
‘The Egyptian is one of those on the Italian’s wishlist along with Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo and others who can improve the attack. Both Marmoush and Gakpo can play up front or out wide, to give De Zerbi more options and either would prove to be an effective signing alongside Savinho.’
Spurs may have one advantage in pursuit of Savinho and Marmoush
The journalist explains that new director of football operations Rafi Moersen is heavily involved in the club’s transfer objectives this summer.
Moersen has been important in negotiating contracts this summer, but his relationship with Man City officials could come in handy for Tottenham this summer.
Having worked with the City Football Group for many years, he is expected to aid the Lilywhites’ efforts to negotiate deals for Savinho and Marmoush.
