‘Let’s see’ – Tottenham insider confirms next big transfer target after Savinho

A couple of Tottenham insiders are continuing to insist that the Lilywhites would be willing to break the bank again on another Premier League-proven player over the coming weeks.

We have heard Roberto De Zerbi say that Tottenham want their ‘first targets’ for their forward line and are not willing to settle for backup options.

With respect to Spurs’ quest for a number nine, that is evidently Eli Junior Kroupi, who the Lilywhites are allegedly prepared to spend big on this summer.

However, that does not mean that they will get their man, with Bournemouth boss Marco Rose making it clear that the club want to keep the 19-year-old.

Paul O’Keefe says Eli Junior Kroupi remains at the top of Tottenham’s wishlist

The fact that the Lilywhites have not been strongly linked with any other striker, along with De Zerbi’s recent comments, suggests that Kroupi remains their top target.

This was confirmed recently by Spurs insider Szyexcl, who claimed a few days ago that Spurs have certainly not abandoned their race for the Cherries forward just yet, despite the South Coast club’s hardline stance.

Paul O’Keefe has now reiterated the same, insisting that the 19-year-old continues to be at the top of the wishlist for De Zerbi’s side.

When asked who, apart from Savinho, is the Lilywhites’ top target, he responded on X: “It’s Junior.” And then when asked if Bournemouth are unwilling to sell, he commented: “Let’s see.”

Why Spurs may remain optimistic about Kroupi pursuit

While the Cherries may continue to insist that their starlet is not for sale, there have been indications that the player has other ideas.

Earlier this month, Kroupi’s agent admitted that discussions are ongoing over his client’s future, refusing to rule out a move away from the South Coast.

Several reports have indicated over the summer that the 19-year-old has already signalled a willingness to move to Spurs if a deal can be struck between the two clubs.
