Manor Solomon has now clarified that his recent social media post was not intended as a farewell message, although uncertainty over his long-term future at Tottenham still remains.
Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to generate funds this summer through the sale of several players who could be deemed surplus to requirements.
One such player could be Manor Solomon, who has spent the last two seasons away from N17 on loan.
His latest spell with Fiorentina included a buy option clause worth around £8.7m. It had been suggested that the Serie A side would activate the option if they avoided relegation.
Fiorentina eventually secured a 15th-place finish and survived comfortably, but they opted against triggering the clause.
Following his departure from the Italian side, Solomon took to social media with what many believed was a farewell message.
He wrote: “Ciao, when I arrived here a few months ago, we had one clear objective and we achieved it. We all know this great club should and deserves to be fighting for completely different goals. Thank you for your support and for making me feel at home in Florence from day one.”

Tottenham Manor Solomon’s agent wants player to remain at Spurs
Solomon’s agent has since clarified that the 26-year-old was not saying goodbye to Fiorentina with his social media post.
He did, however, admit that he hopes the winger remains at Tottenham despite growing uncertainty surrounding his future.
Solomon remains under contract with Spurs until 2028 but has barely featured since joining the club in 2023, making just six appearances for the Lilywhites.
Speaking about the situation, Solomon’s agent explained that the player’s future remains open while insisting the social media message had been misunderstood.
“The post is definitely not a farewell post; he simply posted about the past year and said a big thank you. Everything is open. I want Manor Solomon to stay at Tottenham; that’s my wish. There’s Pini Zahavi, Shlomi Ben Ezra, and me,” he said.
Manor Solomon faces uncertain role at Spurs
It is difficult to see how Solomon fits into Tottenham’s system next season, particularly with Spurs continuing to search for additional wide players.
Savinho has once again been linked with a move to Tottenham this summer, while there also remains the possibility of another right winger arriving before the transfer window closes.
That suggests Solomon could struggle for regular minutes should he remain in north London. As things stand, Spurs already have several options capable of operating out wide, including Wilson Odobert, Mohammed Kudus, Mathys Tel and Xavi Simons.
Solomon himself also addressed the situation following Israel’s game against Albania, insisting he had not said goodbye to Fiorentina when discussing his future.
Speaking to Sport 5, Solomon said: “I didn’t say goodbye to Fiorentina, I wanted to thank you for the post. I had a great time at Fiorentina, I don’t know what will happen.”
