Reports from a few days ago stated that Tottenham were making good progress in their pursuit of Savinho and that a deal was on the cards.
This came after it was revealed that Savinho himself is open to a move to Spurs and that both Manchester City and Tottenham were in talks.
According to Sky Sports reporter Lyall Thomas, it is now understood that Spurs are yet to make a direct approach to Manchester City regarding a deal for the 22-year-old winger.
It is further explained that no bid has been submitted, with Tottenham still considering whether to make one.
