Tottenham fans have given a mixed reaction to the club’s latest links with former Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun.
Tottenham Hotspur are set to continue their search for forward options this summer, having failed to get anyone through the door.
There is less than a month before the summer transfer window slams shut, making it important for Spurs to move quickly in the transfer market.
Several names remain on the Lilywhites’ radar, including Dusan Vlahovic, Victor Osimhen, Cody Gakpo and Ferran Torres.
However, no move for any of these options has materialised. Spurs have also been linked with former Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun in recent weeks, with reports claiming the Lilywhites are stepping up their pursuit of the £51m striker.

The latest reports have now reached Tottenham fans, who have been quick to share their reactions.
Many supporters are not entirely keen on Balogun making the switch to north London, as they believe there are better options for Spurs to target.
Taking to X, one fan said: “Hell No.” Another added: “Think we can do better here.” A third stated: “Not sure how I feel about this.” One more fan commented that he would rather have Mikautadze: “I am all on the Mikautadze train now so this is disappointing.”
One supporter, however, was open to the idea of Balogun being signed: “Fine with this if we are still going for Gakpo and Savinho. Gakpo can play LW and 9. Savinho can play both wings. It gives us flexibility from a tactical perspective and I imagine either Solanke or Richarlison leaves to make the squad numbers work.”
Another added: “AN ACTUAL NUMBER 9 WE TAKE THOSE,” while one fan claimed: “Made us wait this long for ex gooner deadwood.”
A final supporter then added: “Not good enough but different to what we have.”
Would Folarin Balogun be the right fit for Spurs?
Balogun does stand as an interesting option for Tottenham this summer. The USA international did put up impressive numbers last campaign while with AS Monaco.
In 30 Ligue 1 appearances last season, Balogun notched 13 goals and five assists. However, those are not groundbreaking numbers, as Richarlison produced not-too-dissimilar figures, scoring 11 times in 32 Premier League appearances.
The big question is whether Balogun will be able to deliver even better numbers than the forwards Tottenham currently have while playing in the English top flight.
