Tottenham Hotspur are continuing to scour the market for attacking additions, and former Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun is rumoured to be on their wishlist.
The injury to Eli Junior Kroupi has disrupted Tottenham’s summer plans, with the Lilywhites allegedly being just 24 hours away from making a huge bid for the Bournemouth man when news of his injury came to light.
That has forced Spurs to identify striker alternatives to Kroupi, but it is unclear at the moment if the club will add a number nine to their squad and who their top target is.
According to The Sun, Monaco striker Folarin Balogun has been offered to Spurs for a discounted fee, making him an ‘attractive option worthy of serious consideration’ for the North Londoners.

Alasdair Gold reveals if Tottenham are interested in Folarin Balogun
Some sources have even said that the former Arsenal man has become a ‘priority target’ for Spurs, on the back of his impressive showing in the World Cup.
The USA international found the back of the net three times in the tournament, and Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has now reacted to the speculation linking the 25-year-old with a move to Spurs.
The journalist revealed that Tottenham held no interest in Balogun when rumours linking the striker with a move to N17 first arose during the World Cup.
However, Gold suggested that the situation could potentially change, adding: “Whether that changes as the window goes on might depend on whether the club’s first choice targets up front remain unattainable.”
Spurs’ decision on signing a number nine may depend on the 29-year-old
Tottenham’s decision on whether to sign a centre-forward before the end of the month may depend on Richarlison’s future.
During the club’s pre-season tour in Australia and New Zealand, De Zerbi hinted that Richarlison was unsure about whether he wanted to remain at Spurs.
If the Brazilian does decide to exit the club, one would expect the Italian to push for a replacement, as he may not want to go into the new season with the injury-prone Dominic Solanke as his only number nine.
