Richarlison’s hopes of swapping Tottenham for Trabzonspor are now over, with the striker left with very few options to seal an exit from N17.
Richarlison has been left out of Tottenham’s Premier League squad, which means that the striker will have to watch from the sidelines for the next few months if he does not leave the club over the coming days.
It was widely reported that the Spurs striker had agreed to join Trabzonspor, but the deal was not completed before the Turkish transfer window shut on Friday.
That puts the Brazil international in an extremely difficult situation, and his options to exit North London are quickly running out.

While the transfer window in much of Europe is closed, there is still one European league where clubs are allowed to sign players for another week and a half.
The Portuguese transfer window shuts on Tuesday, 15 September, which could be an option for Richarlison if he decides he wants to remain in Europe.
A move to Saudi Arabia remains an option for the 29-year-old, with Saudi Pro League clubs able to sign players until Monday, 12 October.
A return to his home country could also be on the cards for Richarlison, with the Brazilian mid-season transfer window remaining open until Friday, September 11.
Roberto De Zerbi reveals Richarlison refused new Spurs contract
A few days ago, Roberto De Zerbi insisted that Richarlison made all of his decisions by himself, with the Italian pushing back against the striker’s claim that he was being pressured into a move he did not want.
Subsequently, the Tottenham boss revealed that the former Everton man had rejected a contract extension at the start of the summer.
De Zerbi also suggested that Richarlison’s entourage did not bring any offers to the table even though he had expressed a desire to leave, and confirmed that the 29-year-old rejected a move in the dying stages of the window.
